Plant Disease 100 (6), 1252-1252
Abstract: Grapevine plants (Vitis vinifera) grown in South Africa were observed with symptoms of leafroll disease. Using PCR analysis and nucleotide sequencing, the presence of Grapevine Syrah virus 1 was demonstrated in the symptomatic plants together with other viruses belonging to the families Closteroviridae, and Betaflexiviridae as well as viroids.
