First report of web blight on yellow-sage (Lantana camara) caused by Rhizoctonia solani in Europe
Plant Disease 87 (7), 875-875
Abstract: During 2001, ornamental Lantana camara plants grown in Italy were observed with symptoms of tan leaf spots of irregular size and shape. The fungus Rhizoctonia solani AG-4 was isolated from the diseased plants. The identification was based on morphological characteristics and comparison with tester isolates. Pathogenicity of the isolates was demonstrated by inoculation and re-isolation.
