Pilidium lythri (Desm.) Rossman 2014
The fungus is widespread and causes tan-brown leaf spot, stem necrosis and fruit rot on strawberry. It also infects various other crops. The fungus forms sporodochia about 300 x 100 µm large which turn brown and black. The conidia are single-celled and spindle-shaped, about 5 x 1½ µm in size.
