Phylloxera Boyer de Fonscolombe, 1834
This genus of gall-forming aphids is widely distributed and includes around 50 species. Several species are regarded as plant pests like Phylloxera devastatrix and P. notabilis which infest pecan trees in North America. The well known grape phylloxera (Daktulosphaira vitifoliae) belongs to a different genus.
