phages of Pectobacterium species

This group includes various phages which have been found to infect plant pathogenic bacteria of the genus Pectobacterium. These bacteria are often the causal agents of soft rot diseases and infect a wide variety of crops. The phages belong to different virus groups. For example a survey in potato fields, revealed Pectobacterium phages from 3 different virus families (Lee et al., 2017).
