Paratylenchus nanus Cobb, 1923
This pin nematode is found in North America, Europe and several other regions. It has been mainly reported from the roots of grasses, but can also attack other crops. Infestations of field peas can result in a reduction of plant height and shoot weight of more than 30% and 50% respectively (Upadhaya et al., 2019). Morphologically, P. nanus is very similar to Paratylenchus projectus, with only small differences (Subbotin et al., 2020).
