Paratylenchidae - Paratylenchus Micoletzky, 1922 - (pin nematodes)

The family of Paratylenchidae, the pin nematodes, is sometimes regarded as a subfamily of the Tylenchulidae. The genus Paratylenchus is economically the most important. The members are small nematodes with the females usually less than 0.5 mm long. They migrate in the soil and live ectoparasitically. The body is slender with a strong stylet.
