Paratachardina Balachowsky, 1950
This genus of lac insects includes around 10 species. These are native to southern Asia and Australia. Paratachardina pseudolobata was first recorded in Florida in 1999. It has spread to parts of North and Central America and has become an important polyphagous pest of woody plants. Some others are considered occasional pests in their native range.
