Oxya yezoensis Shiraki, 1910
This grasshopper is one of several closely related species, attacking rice in eastern Asia. It also feeds on various grasses and populations can persist in fallow paddy fields. O. yezoensis has been mainly reported as a pest from Japan, where it can become abundant and outbreaks might develop (e.g. Ando & Yamashiro, 1993).
