Oxya hyla Serville, 1831
This grasshopper attacks rice and other crops in parts of Asia, Africa and the Pacific. In Africa, it has been implicated as a possible vector of the Rice yellow mottle virus. Several subspecies have been described for O. hyla. The morphology and biology is similar to that of other Oxya species like Oxya chinensis.
