Orobanche foetida (weed) Poir.

This parasitic weed is found in western parts of the Mediterranean region. It can be a serious problem on faba bean, chickpea and other leguminous crops, with yield losses exceeding 50% during severe infestations Abbes et al., 2020. The seeds persist in the soil for many years and control options are limited.
