Olea europaea (weed) L. (African olive)
African olive (Olea europaea subsp. cuspidata) as well as wild Mediterranean olive (Olea europaea subsp. europaea) are invasive weeds in several regions like Australia, North America and Hawaii. Hybrids of both forms are also invasive. They can form dense monocultures about 10 years after becoming established which severely suppress native vegetation.
