Neoseiulus barkeri (predator) Hughes, 1948

This is a widespread predator mite of spider mites and thrips. It is being produced commercially against pests like the twospotted spider mite (Tetranychus urticae) and the western flower thrips (Frankliniella occidentalis). The mite is effective on citrus, strawberries, apple and various other crops. In the absence of prey it can survive on pollen.
