Xiphinema diversicaudatum (Micoletzky, 1927) - (migrant root worm)

The nematode attacks fruit trees, vegetables and other crops, reducing the root system and causing stunting. It can also transmit various virus diseases which may cause the main damage on larger plants. It is also a vector of plant viruses like the Arabis mosaic virus (e.g. see Marmonier et al., 2010).
