Abstract: Three hypocreoid taxa were found to be illegitimate later homonyms of previously described species. Hence, the replacement names, Hypocrea straminella (=Hypocrea straminea P. Chaverri and Samuels), Trichoderma pseudocandidum (=Trichoderma candidum P. Chaverri and Samuels), and Trichoderma pseudonigrovirens (=Trichoderma nigrovirens P. Chaverri and Samuels), are provided.
