Metschnikowia fructicola (antagonist) Kurtzman & Droby, 2001
This fungus was first isolated from grape berries in Israel. It has been studied as a possible biological control agent against various plant pathogens infecting stored fruits and vegetable (e.g. see Karabulut et al., 2004).
