Matricaria matricarioides (weed) (Less.) C.L. Porter - (pineappleweed)

This plant species is regarded as a widespread, often invasive, agricultural weed. The name Matricaria matricarioides is often cited as a synonym of Matricaria discoidea, but both names are regarded as separate species by other authors, e.g. see the Plant List. The name "pineappleweed" is being used for both species, deriving from the pineapple odour when the weed is crushed.
