Macrosaccus robiniella (Clemens, 1859) - (locust leafminer)
This leafminer is native to North America, where it attacks Robinia species. It was accidentally introduced into Europe and was first discovered in northern Switzerland in 1983. It has since spread to many other countries in Europe and in 2021 had been reported from northern Spain in the west to southern Russia in the East (Mally et al., 2021). In Europe, it is regarded as beneficial if it attacks Robinia pseudoacacia and other invasive Robinia species.
