Lygus elisus Van Duzee, 1914 - (pale legume bug)
This plant-sucking bug is found in western and central parts of North America. It feeds on a variety of plants, including crops like cotton, legumes, potatoes or fruit trees. Like for other Lygus species, mainly buds and developing fruits are attacked. The feeding causes abortion and deformation of flowers and fruits.
