Lygodiaceae - Lygodium (weeds) Sw. - (climbing ferns)
The family of Lygodiaceae with its only genus Lygodium contains around 20 species of tropical climbing ferns. Several are invasive and have become important weeds in their country of introduction, like Lygodium microphyllum, the old world climbing fern. This species is native in Africa and Asia and has spread to North America.
