Lutzomyia fischeri (Pinto)

This sand fly is found in South America and can be common in some areas like around São Paulo, Brazil. It is a suspected vector of American cutaneous leishmaniasis, caused by Leishmania braziliensis, and may also transmit Leishmania infantum.
