Lepinotus Heyden, 1850 - (black domestic psocids)

This a small genus of psocids with around 10 species. The members are found mainly on mouldy grain or food in stores and houses, where they feed on fungi. They can gain pest status when they reach large numbers. Lepinotus reticulatus is widely distributed and is common in Europe and North America. The adults are around 2-3 mm long and typically dark brown.
