Abstract: The identification of four female Culex quinquefasciatus mosquitoes collected in the passenger cabin of an aircraft on a direct flight from Dar es Salaam (Tanzania) to the Netherlands is described. The risk of importation of mosquitoes in aircraft and of their subsequent establishment is discussed.
