Seasonal activity of Amblyomma spp. in Mississippi
Journal of Vector Ecology 32 (1), 157-158
Abstract: Between 2001 and 2003, the Copiah County Wildlife Management Area were sampled and a total of 4,269 Amblyomma americanum and ten A. maculatum were collected by drag cloth. Seasonally, A. americanum adults were most active from April to early July, while nymphs displayed a bi-modal peak in April/May and then again in August/September. Larval A. americanum were mostly collected from late June through October but occasionally in March/April. Amblyomma maculatum adults were collected mostly in July/August.
