First report of Grapevine Pinot gris virus and Grapevine leafroll-associated virus 2 in Bulgarian vineyards
Journal of Plant Diseases and Protection 128 (2), 597-599
Abstract: During 2016–2019, surveys of viruses were conducted in Bulgarian vineyards. Grapevine Pinot gris virus (GPGV) and grapevine leafroll-associated virus 2 (GLRaV-2) were detected by ELISA and RT-PCR in randomly collected samples. Phylogenetic analyses of the nucleotide sequence of a partial coat protein gene fragment indicated that the Bulgarian GPGV isolates grouped with isolates from Europe and the Americas while Bulgarian GLRaV-2 isolates clustered with isolates of the PN1 group. This is the first report of GPGV and GLRaV-2 in Bulgaria.
