First report of Fusarium proliferatum associated with Allium fistulosum L. in Italy
Journal of Plant Diseases and Protection 125 (2), 231-233
Abstract: In 2016, symptoms of stunted growth with internal violet basal stem rot were detected in several seed production plots of Welsh onion or Japanese bunching onion (Allium fistulosum) in Italy. Morphological and molecular identifications confirmed the isolation of Fusarium proliferatum. The pathogenicity was verified with Koch's postulates checked. To our knowledge, this is the first report of F. proliferatum as a pathogen of A. fistulosum in Italy.
