Papuana uninodis, a new host for the baculovirus of Oryctes
Journal of Invertebrate Pathology 51 (2), 157-160
Abstract: Small drops of homogenized midguts from baculovirus-infected Oryctes rhinoceros adults were placed on the mouths of adult taro beetles, Papuana uninodis. Baculovirus infections developed readily with beetles dying on average after 2 weeks. Transmission from infected to healthy P. uninodis adults was observed under laboratory conditions.
