Jatropha gossypiifolia (weed) L. - (bellyache bush)

This plant is a deciduous perennial shrub which is native to parts of Central America and South America. It has been introduced into other parts of the world, mainly as a medicinal plant.

In several countries it has become invasive, notably in northern Australia where it can form dense thickets and compete with other species in pastures. It is also poisonous to livestock.
