Ipomoea asarifolia (weed) (Desr.) Roem. & Schult. - (ginger-leaf morningglory)

This species is believed to be native to Central America, but has been introduced into several other tropical regions and is sometimes used as a medicinal herb or grown as an ornamental. It is regarded as a weed in some areas like parts of South America, where it affects maize, rice and other crops. It is also toxic to livestock.
