Hypericaceae - Hypericum L. (weeds) - (St. Johnsworts)

The family Hypericaceae contains around 300 species of herbs, shrubs and trees. The genus Hypericum is the largest with more than 200 species. It includes several agricultural and environmental weeds like common St. Johnswort (Hypericum perforatum), a perennial herb native to Europe and Asia that has been introduced into other regions. The flowers are typically yellow with 5 petals.
