Hyblaea puera (Cramer, 1777) - (teak defoliator)
This moth is a serious pest of teak in western Asia. It has been also reported from Africa and tropical parts of the Americas. The larvae feed on the young, emerging leaves. The early instars feed on the leaf surface. Older larvae cut out a leaf section near the margin, fold it and feed on it from the inside.
