Hyalomma excavatum Koch, 1844

The tick is found in the Near East and in sourrounding regions where it infests different types of livestock like cattle, horses, donkeys, camels, sheep, goats and swine. It might also bite humans. It can transmit a number of diseases, for example Crimean Congo hemorrhagic fever.
