Hyalomma dromedarii Koch, 1844 - (camel tick)

The tick is found in the Near East, many parts of Africa, as well as in western and central Asia. The main hosts are camels in regions where camels exist. However, it might also bite other mammals and birds including livestock like cattle, sheep, goats and horses. It is a vector of several disease agents.
