Hieroglyphus nigrorepletus Bolivar, 1912 - (Phadka grasshopper)
This grasshopper is common in India and Pakistan, where it is regarded as a pest of rice, other cereals and sugarcane. Outbreaks are reported occasionally (Sultana & Wagan, 2007). Mature females have a length of around 43 mm and males of 34 mm. For a taxonomic redescription see Kumar & Usmani (2015).
