Heydeniidae - Heydenia unica (parasitoid) Cook & Davis, 1891
This wasp was previously assigned to the family Pteromalidae, but the genus Heydenia has been separated on molecular and morphological grounds and assigned to the related family Heydeniidae (Burks et al., 2022).
Heydenia unica is found in North America, where it is a larval parasitoid of bark beetles like the southern pine beetle, Dendroctonus frontalis.
