Haematopinus tuberculatus (Burmeister, 1839) - (buffalo louse)

This louse is widely distributed and a blood-sucking ectoparasite which feeds on water buffaloes (Bubalus bubalis), cattle, camels, and the American bison (Bison bison). The adult lice are around 5.5 mm long.
