Felicola subrostratus (Burmeister, 1838) - (cat louse)

This chewing louse is widely distributed and infests cats. It might reach high densities on old and sick cats, causing skin irritations. The louse feeds on skin keratin and secretions. Adult F. subrostratus are 1 - 1½ mm long, with a triangular head.
