Fabavirus alphaviciae

Assigned virus:
broad bean wilt virus 1 (BBWV1)

BBWV1 is economically important and has a wide host range, including broad bean, several other legumes, green pepper, lettuce and spinach. It has a world-wide distribution and is transmitted by aphids in a noncirculative manner. The virus is the type species of the genus Fabavirus and has a bipartite genome, consisting of two positive-strand RNA molecules.
