Exserohilum rostratum (Drechsler) K.J. Leonard and Suggs 1974
The fungus is a plant pathogen that affects a wide range of species, particularly grasses (Poaceae), causing leaf spots and blights. However, infections have been also reported from other crops, animals and even humans (Sharma et al., 2014). The conidia are dark, oval, straight or slightly curved, with 3 or more septa and a protruding hilum.
