Eutichuridae (predators) - (sac spiders)

This family includes around 350 species of spiders. They have been previously placed in the family Miturgidae as a subfamily, but are now regarded as sufficiently different. The members of the family can be common in fields and construct sac-like webbings to which they retreat during the day. Some species are also found in houses and might bite humans. The genus Cheiracanthium is the largest group in this family. Some species like Cheiracanthium inclusum in North America are common and regarded as useful natural enemies of pest insects.
