Eumetopina flavipes Muir - (sugarcane planthopper)
This planthopper is found in Papua New Guinea (PNG) and the northern tip of Australia. It is a vector of the Ramu stunt disease (Ramu stunt phytoplasma) of sugarcane. The disease only occurs in PNG and quarantine efforts are directed at preventing the disease from reaching Australia. The planthopper can migrate naturally from PNG to Australia.
