Erysiphales (weed pathogens)

This order includes fungi that cause powdery mildew diseases. A number of species are important as pathogens of crops (see the crop pathogens). A few species infect weeds like Podosphaera plantaginis, a pathogen of plants from the genus Plantago like the agricultural weed Plantago lanceolata.
