Epinotia Hübner, 1825

This is a large genus of tortrix moths with more than 150 species and a wide distribution. Species either fold or roll the leaves, feed on and mine conifer needles, or bore into the bark of trees. Typically the wingspan is between 15 and 20 mm.

Several species are regarded as agricultural or forest pests. For example, Epinotia aporema is a pest of soybeans in South America and Epinotia tedella mines the needles of spruce in Europe.
