The use of Doppler actographs to measure locomotor activity in locust nymphs.
Entomologia Experimentalis et Applicata 26 (2), 136-141
Abstract: The general design of a novel actograph based on reception of a Doppler frequency shift' is described. Experiments using such actographs show firstly entrainment of a diurnal activity rhythm in Locusta migratoria, and secondly the post-prandial rest in the same species.
