Dysaphis apiifolia (Theobald, 1923) - (hawthorn-parsley aphid)
This aphid is widely distributed. The primary host is hawthorn where it induces red leaf galls (pseudo galls). In the spring, winged forms migrate to plants from the family Apiaceae like parsley, celery or carrots. Here wingless populations develop which are brownish-grey.
The fundatrix on hawthorn is blueish-gray, covered with wax and has a body length of around 2 mm. D. apiifolia is closely related to Dysaphis crataegi.
