Dysaphis crataegi (Kaltenbach, 1843) - (umbellifer aphid)

This aphid is found in Europe and North America. It colonizes hawthorn during the winter (primary host), where it forms red leaf galls. During the summer it lives on the roots of plants from the family Apiaceae like carrot.
