Dolichogenidea Viereck, 1911

This genus of wasps has a world-wide distribution and is closely related to the genus Apanteles. Both genera are difficult to separate morphologically. The species are solitary or gregararious endoparasitoids (koinobiont) of Lepidoptera larvae, parasitising larvae from the families Tortricidae, Noctuidae and Pyralidae, among others.
