Didymella rhei (Ellis & Everh.) Q. Chen & L. Cai 2015
This fungus species is widely distributed and causes a leaf spot diseases on rhubarb plants (Rheum rhabarbarum) and other Rheum species. The pycnidia are olive coloured, dark brown or black, spherical with a diameter of around 150-200 µm. The conidia have an elliptical shape and are either aseptate (5-8 x 2 µm) or septate.
