Didymella arachidicola (Khokhr.) Tomilin 1979 - (web blotch of peanut)

This fungus is widely distributed in groundnut growing regions around the world (North America, Africa and Asia). Disease symptoms start with brown leaf spot which expand to larger blotches. D. arachidicola forms dark brown, spherical pycnidia that produce single-celled conidia with a size of around 5-8 x 3 µm.
