Dicladispa gestroi (Chapuis, 1877)
This hedgehog beetle is found in Madagascar where is can cause outbreaks on young rice plantings. There are also reports of this species from Zanzibar (Banwo, 2002). The adults feed on the leaf surfaces while the larvae are leafminers.
